Emma’s Place in Maplewood has been selected to be our Advent Outreach at Silver Lake UMC.
Emma Norton Services (ENS) is a United Methodist Outreach. ENS partners with women, children and families who are homeless and experiencing the challenges of mental and/or chemical disabilities. Without having to worry about the basic need of a safe, secure place to live, women and children can utilize and focus on supportive programs, life skills, services and opportunities available to accomplish their goals
Emma’s Place in Maplewood is home to 13 single parent families with three or more kids.
We will be collecting items that the families are in need of over the next few weeks. These are a few of the things they need:
Newborn kits (Baby teether, pacifier, onesies, diapers, blanket, lotions/baby shampoo, rattles, etc.)
Board games for k-5
Card games/brain teasers for grades 6 – 12
Gift cards for the families to either Cub or Aldi
Unwrapped items can be dropped off at Silver Lake UMC by Sunday, December 16th. Monetary donations are welcome. Checks can be made payable to Silver Lake UMC and note Emma’s Place on the memo line.
Help us make Emma’s Place warm for the Holidays!
